Every year, alongside all the big retailers competing for the best Christmas Ad, Shelter - the homelessness charity - launches their own version. This year's have seen praise across the board. As often, the TV advert is supported by accompanying stills, these are those images I was tasked to retouch.
Shelter's 2025 Christmas campaign, titled "Earworm," highlights the issue of families living in temporary accommodation this Christmas. The campaign features a film centered on a boy who loves singing Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," but the heartwarming scene reveals a devastating twist: his mother is on hold with an accommodation service, with the song playing as hold music.

We exist to defend the right to a safe home. Because home is everything."
